The doctor will always! discuss with you what will happen about your test results. We do not expect patients to routinely ring for results. Usually we will contact you if there is a major problem with blood tests. Minor abnormalities are usually discussed at the next routine appointment. Most lab tests are done in a day or two but some have to be sent to distant labs and results can take weeks.
Xrays, ultrasounds and other scans should always be discussed with the doctor who ordered them. Please make an appointment or a telephone appointment.

The practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.
